Stephen and Mallory asked me to make a topper for their wedding cake. I was honored but also a little terrified. They met on starmen.net, an EarthBound fan site, which is also where I met my husband 10 years ago. This was my first attempt at sculpting realistic people. I tried to plan as carefully as I could, so I started with an armature and built up layers between bakes.

Just over 2" tall.
When I put polyclay over it and baked it, I only had trouble with magenta. That color tends to change a little and blur over the surrounding area. The dark stroke on the pomegranate was supposed to be magenta, but it came out looking brown.")

It’s especially hot today in Tucson, so I made something to remind me of winter! He’s a Ten Yeti pin from Mother 3 made of polymer.
♥♪!? is based on a character with an unpronounceable name known simply as Geno from Super Mario RPG. 150 have been cast for me by Mana Studios and I’ve been busy sanding, painting, and packaging them. This was my first time attempting a poseable figurine so I made some simple mushroom joints. The head, arms, and toy key can all turn. He’s just over 4 inches high:
