Over the past 2 months or so, I’ve been sculpting 4 prizes for the annual EarthBound Fanfest. They are one of a kind, signed on the bottom, and made of Super Sculpey (the gray kind). I built them around compressed foil cores and wire armatures, and painted them with cel-vinyls. I tried to make them as close to the game sprites as I could. These were pretty challenging and a lot of fun to make!
Here are a few in-progress pictures:
Thunder and Storm were a particular challenge and I really enjoyed sculpting their faces.
Electro Specter required sanding and multiple bakes to get sharp angles and a smooth surface.
I think the Kraken is my favorite!
They all turned out a little larger and more complex than I had originally planned and I’ll be sad to see them go. I hope the winners like them!

I wondered where you’ve been. I thought you fell off the earth! Glad to see all the wonderful things you have been making.
Finding your blog has made things easier
Camille your work is always amazing! The amount of effort put in to these shows how much you love doing what you do.
